Dr Aileen Chia graduated from The University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor Of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2003.

 

After graduation, Dr Chia practiced for 3 years at the Health Promotion Board in the School Dental Centre. She served as a Dental Officer mostly at the headquarters, treating patients referred from schools all over Singapore who needed further and more complicated dental care. During her stint in HPB, Dr Chia provided oral healthcare to patients ranging from 6 months to 19 years of age. She was also dental instructor to student dental therapists and was in charge of dental clinics in primary schools in the West.

 

Throughout her tenure at School Dental Centre, Dr Chia gained invaluable experienced in child management and children’s dentistry.

 

 

Dr Chia spent two years in Bedok Polyclinic where she treated patients from all walks of life and all ages. There she treated mainly adult and elderly patients, gaining the skills not only to manage their oral health but to handle their expectations as well.

 

For 1.5 years, she was the dental officer-In-charge of the dental clinic at Bedok, overseeing its management and operation.
